Since day one of moving to London, I always wanted to go in those row boats on the serpentine. Is that like the ultimate tourist thing or am i actually super edgy? Not sure. Whatevs. I wanted to do it so badly. So on the eve of my 30th birthday (three days before we picked up my 8 week old birthday present puppy (ohhmaahhgaahhh)), bae and i met in hyde park apres work for a little row boat session! We brought two mini organic bubble bottles in my Baby Blondie which we didn't actually drink in the boat bc it wasnt allowed turns out and i follow the rules too well. I digress.
I wore stripes and a boater hat bc thats what i woke up wanting to wear external to the nautical turn of events come evening. Again, am I the ultimate tourist in my own city or am I actually super edgy? idk.
So i have turned 30. By the time I get these photos good to go below, I will have something to say. Fingers crossed something will come to me at the bottom???? I was so spontaneous just then that I didn't even know what I was going to say before I started typing. #30
I would like to wear more than one boater hat at a time but a few years ago i saw a woman who wore six pairs of reading glasses on her head and that has always stuck with me in a deeply unsettling way...
haha me rowing lasted for one second bc i have the attention span of a butterfly and there were so many baby birds i needed to look at
Black sandals...the most underated closet staple IN THE WORLD!!!!!! jk i think theyre prob appropriately rated. i just wanted to be supah dramatic bc I majored in theatre and like to use that USC diploma once in a while.
Nothing like a solid (striped AYEEE) dress to have in your closet. Hmmmm i literally need every single one of these...thats a problem.
I have been trying to think this whole post of what I have learned in my 30 years that I want to share and I guess its all amounted to:
-eat really high quality chocolate
-try to resemble water when life gets tough- just flow through it cool and calm but be strong when you need to be (hahahhahahah like ive even come close to nailing that, Im covered in heat rash 90% of the time bc I dont handle stress well)
-keep style simple (and be comfortable)
-anddddd...dont let bullys dictate your future.
Be sure to read my Beaux Style Guide to dressing up/down in case you missed it and you want read some words on the internet.
